Free shipping on this is a beautiful large bowl/block/knife set. Thick block with a nice deep cutting bowl. A nice comfortable and easy to use combination. This is the largest of the manufactured ulu bowls and is very useful when preparing family meals. One side is a bowl and the other is flat, so you can chop on either side.The 6.25 inch Ulu knife fits perfectly in the bowl to make chopping easy and quick. Block is made of Alaskan birch and American walnut. Knife and stand are made of one or the other as per picture. Knife is made in the Inupiat style, a tribe of the far north of Alaska. Etch on handle rendered by one of seven renown Alaskan native artists.
The Ulu has been an important part of the Alaskan native culture for thousands of years. Its uses include skinning, fileting, slicing, dicing, mincing, and more.
